Heather and Gorse

Heather and gorse cling to the steep cliffs in West Cornwall creating a fabulously vibrant display of colour. The coast path out of Porth Nanven cuts straight through this magnificent display. A lovely place to unwind with a gentle evening evening walk.

Godrevy Lighthouse

Godrevy Lighthouse

Godrevy lighthouse and beach with distant views of the lighthouse itself is a lovely place to take a stroll or even a dip. Surfers know this bay well and are there most days when the tide is right. We never miss the opportunity to go there whenever we are down in Cornwall.

The Brisons Clifftop Walk

Brisons Clifftop Walk

On a Winter’s day the mild Cornish weather allows us to enjoy spectacular clifftop walks. Just a few minutes walk from Tremellion, on a clear day the Brisons and glimpses of the Scilly Isles can be seen. The Brisons have the unlikely local name of General de Gaulle in the bath to some of the locals, which is not hard to see why. The clifftop walks take you to Sennen in one direction and Cape Cornwall going the other way. There is nothing like sitting on a rock and taking in the panoramic Atlantic view.

Spectacular Cape Cornwall Walks

The days are getting shorter but the autumn is a great time to take in the Atlantic coast here in West Cornwall. With distant views of Cape Cornwall and the sea starting to show it’s power, there is no place like it. Find a sheltered spot on the cliff path and breath in the air. Pure magic.

Beautiful Porth Nanven Sunset

We can’t resist going down to the cliffs above the sea to watch the Porth Nanven sunset. And it’s not just us that seem to appreciate the spectacular skies and blue sea. From our cottage you can nip up to St Just to get a pizza or fish and chips and walk straight down to the cliff path past the cottage. Once the sun has gone there is plenty of light to get back to the cottage.

Evening Coastal Walk

There is nothing better than an evening coastal walk. It’s possible to reach a variety of footpaths with spectacular views in just 10 minutes from closing the front door at Tremellion. The sunlight on the sea is spectacular at this time of year. Stay on and watch the sunset.

Discover Sandy Coves

Its well worth the effort to have an early stroll in West Cornwall to have the beautiful coves and cliffs to yourself. Go on treat yourself.

Sunsets in West Cornwall

Sunsets in West Cornwall

The sunsets in West Cornwall are spectacular. We just had to step out of the front door to see this one. On some evenings we go down the lane to watch it from the cliffs overlooking Porth Nanven beach.

Pasty in a Bag

Cornish Pasty

OK so a Cornish pasty is by no means the only thing to eat in Cornwall. If you do there is nothing like having it straight from the bag, still warm and of course eaten on a beach. What could be better?
